It’s not the immortality of words themselves,
but the beauty sealed inside them,
beauty’s shine which pulses through them
like some impossible to ignore pounding at the
door of your feelings, and perhaps
by the time I get to the end of this long sentence
I will have finally arrived at what it is that I wanted to say,
and will stop for a moment, turn around and look back at my modest beginnings
which began with a single letter out of which grew such a sensation of enormity as to be a sun warmed wall, overrun with climbing words hanging long their low tendrils, seeking but one thing only…
the intimacy of your touch.

I am touched by the beauty of your words, Jena.
Hi Poet Jena, I’ve nominated you for the BLOG of the YEAR 2012 AWARD, because you write one of my favorite blogs. It waits over here for you when you have the time. No obligation. http://poetrypatio.wordpress.com/2012/12/06/community-awards/
Lori,
I just want to give you a big HUG! for thinking of me for this nomination.
It is a privilege for me to be amongst such talented and inspired writers.
I am looking forward to a renewed focus after getting over this small act if cataract for which a brief stay in hospital has been necessary.
All the better to “see” you with, my dear!
Best wishes for a speedy recovery. I hope you are seeing well soon, Jena!!
thank you Lori …. Now I will be able to look more keenly on all you lovely words!!
Thank you Lori …. I shall be following your posts now with an even more ‘keen’ eye from now on I hope! affectionately yours,
Wonderful poem, Ma-Li. I like the path you chose to arrive at “…the intimacy of your touch.”
Thank you sincerely Thomas.
I love the words which come through you too.
